I am looking for some advice on property rights and inheritance in Scotland

Questions:
I am looking for some advice on property rights and inheritance in Scotland
My parents are converting an old stone building into a house for them to live in. The stone building is situated on my brother and sister-in-laws land and owned by them. Once built would my parents have any legal ownership if nothing is written up by solicitors prior to building? Also what would happen if something was to happen to my brother or they were to sell if they wanted to move or as a result of divorce? Would they have any rights to stay or legal right to regain money from the sale?
I also wanted to know what would happen if my parents were to pass? Would the house belong fully to my brother and his family?
Answers:
1-You will need to take advice from a solicitor practicing in Scotland…
